About the owner

Hi! Thank you for checking out Granite State Speech. I’m Lauren, an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certified speech-language pathologist in the southern New Hampshire area. I have been working with school-age children who have various speech and language disorders for over a decade. In recent years, I have noticed an influx of preschool/pre-k/kindergarten students requiring speech and language services. This got me thinking: How can I help to educate and serve my community better to address this? One solution I came up with was to offer professional development courses to early educators and daycare providers about how to help facilitate speech and language development, and red flags to look for.

Another solution was to offer treatment services at more convenient times for parents. As a busy mom of three children, I know how hard it is to schedule appointments after school hours (if you can get off a wait list for that coveted time slot!) while juggling work, sports, doctors appointments and getting dinner on the table. That’s why I offer services for your child at their daycare, preschool or private school during the school day.

I can also assist parents with understanding the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, review proposed goals and services, and provide evaluation services to public schools to assist with caseload management.
